I am very excited to announce the arrival of my new business cards!! I ordered them last Friday, expecting them to arrive next Tuesday, and they were delievered via FedEx today! I almost hugged the delivery man, and yelled out a huge thank you instead :o) They turned out great! Here is the image that I have, not filled out with my information,

I also ordered some matching postcards to mail out after the show or to announce upcoming events, they turned out just as great as the business cards.

Something you may notice when you see my business cards is the name. I recently went downtown to the Secretary of the State and filed an assumed business name for Gentle Touch Massage. After talking to Brent about it, we decided that having both names would be great, and when I am finally ready and able to rent an office, i'll already have the name for my business. So Gentle Touch Massage is listed on the business cards, but Infant Massage is listed below that as one of my specialties.

Welcome 2009!

or pick up the new issue of Treasure Valley Family and read through the health and wellness guide in the magazine, I'm so excited to be listed, and hope to have a monthly ad running starting next month if possible, I'm still working on the format and what to say, so we'll see how it goes.

I'm also excited about potentially starting a program at local area hospitol's. I've contacted both Saint Alphonsus and Saint Lukes medical centers and have heard back from one of them, but have yet to set up a meeting, so i'm truly hoping for that to happen soon. It will be such an amazing experience to work in a hospitol setting and work with new parents and their infants.

I am hopefull and excited to see what the new year brings, and will keep everyone posted as new events come up.

As 2008 comes to an end, I am left thinking of the great accomplishments that I had this year. The start of my business is one of the best things I could have hoped for. I am so thankful that I was able to complete the infant massage course and now am able to bring this wonderful class to the Treasure Valley. I'm truly hoping that 2009 will be a wonderful year for this new adventure.

One thing I am very excited for in the beginning of this new year is to be featured in Treasure Valley Family Magazine! Gentle Touch Infant Massage will be listed in the January health and wellness issue. I am working on an ad to feature in the magazine as well, which hopefully will start running in the February issue.

A Month Already?

Wow! time goes by fast! We had our 4th class today, and although it wasnt a full one, we still had a great time and learned several new things! I unfortunately forgot my camera today, so i'll try to get more pics up when I can. The babies seemed to respond very well to the gentle movements exercise we did today, they loved the stretches and joint movements, and wanted to keep going when we were all done. It's great to have such a great response to touch from these babies, and to hear stories of success from the parents, about calming baby down before bedtime, or helping ease an upset stomach, they are all wonderful examples of how great these techniques can be!

I will be finishing my practicum up with the end of this first class, then sending the full exam off for my final certification. I'm so excited to complete this training and begin this next step! I'll keep you posted on my progress and when the next class will begin!

First Class!!

Here are a few pictures from my first Class. As you can see, the participants had a very relaxing time and really enjoyed their massages.

We started the class by massaging the babies legs, then had time to finish with the stomach, all the babies were very alert throughout most of the massage, and did very well for the first day of class.
